Bangalore Golfers’ Foundation (BGF)

Overview: The Bangalore Golfers’ Foundation (BGF) was formed to create a golfing community among distinguished individuals and professionals from varied backgrounds and to promote a social cause – to provide financial support for caddies working in the golf course. BGF has also formed a non profit organization under its umbrella – The Bangalore Golfers’ Trust, to promote various social causes.

Background:In golf, a caddie is one who carries a player’s bag and clubs, and gives insightful advice and moral support. A good caddie is aware of the challenges and obstacles of the golf course, along with the best strategy involved in playing the game. This includes knowing the overall yardage, pin placements and club selection. The aim was to help the caddies with their communication skills and also overall grooming of caddies to enable them to interact with customers confidently.

Solution:The training program delegated at BGF has been an effective, productive and resourceful session, with a marked improvement that is visible in all the trainees, in areas that were identified earlier for improvement. The timely guidelines have laid a concrete foundation to the communication requirements of the trainees. Intense soft skills programme was customised for overall grooming of the trainees to enable them to interact with their clients in the required manner.

Result: The caddies are able to interact with their customers in a confident manner. Their communication skills have also really improved. A refreshment training program has been charted out, of which the caddies will be part of.

Epicor Software India Private Limited

Overview:Epicor Software India Private Limited is a Private Company involved in software publishing, consultancy and supply software.

Background:The aim was to enhance the employee’s technique, skill, tactics and self development in terms of communication.

The employees also required in-depth accent training.

Solution:Hands on learning workshops spread across ten days were conducted in Epicor. The modules were practically designed, keeping in mind the overall complexities involved in addressing the participants. The delivery of the training was customised to cater to the requirement and understanding of the trainees. The method of delivery was a blend of group discussions, presentations and so on.

Overview: Decathlon is one of the world’s largest sporting goods retailers. It stocks a wide range of sporting goods, usually in large superstores. It started in France and expanded into various stores in different parts of the world. In India, Decathlon products can be bought directly through their stores and also through their online resellers.

Background: Decathlon is a network of innovative retail chains and brands. The products are aimed at sports enthusiasts, from beginners to experts and are sold exclusively at various Decathlon outlets in India.

Solution: Our trainer trained their store managers and various departmental employees on various areas including communication, making corporate presentations and so on.

Result: The training programme was very effective. There is a remarkable improvement in their interpersonal skills, soft skills, presentation skills and communicative skills.

Zion Hills Golf County

Overview: Zion Hills, formerly called Champion Reef Golf County, is a championship level golf course and golf academy.

Background: The aim was to train caddies to improve their communication skills and also groom them to enable them to interact with clients confidently. The training programme had to address the department-specific requirement as well.

Solution:  Hands on training was imparted on various areas such as communication skills, soft skills and overall grooming. Customized training programs were developed to address the needs of each department. The trainees were also trained on areas such as dynamic skills management, including maximisation of productivity levels.

Result: The training programme was very effective. There is a remarkable improvement in their interpersonal skills, soft skills, communication skills and confidence levels.
